Shoot Me....

I've told my fiance to bitch slap me the next time I so much as hint at redesigning my website . LOL While I did do a lot of work on it over my week-long summer break from college, it's STILL not done. I made a lot of progress, but there's still SO much to do! I did get the limited edition print page added and finished most of the art galleries. Thankfully the galleries are the most complex part of the site and I'm almost done with those. Once this is done, the next task is to get the Cafe Press store switched to the new design and get it all updated. Whee.... I hope to have this complete by the end of next weekend at the latest.

Houston Witches' Ball and CMA Samhain

I have confirmed that Brooks and I will be playing at the Houston Witches' Ball this year along with the rest of the Drum Monkees (formerly the Drum Dogs). This event is usually pretty fun and we have a good time drumming. The crowd tends to be very appreciative. For more information, go to http://witchesballhouston.com/ .  I've also confirmed that we will be going to CMA Samhain, but this is more of a mini vacation for us than a performing/art trip. We will be drumming and such, but at our leisure and not as part of the festival entertainment schedule.

Newest Piece

I managed to knock out a finished version of a design that's been sitting on my hard drive a while. Dragon Fae had been begging for something more than that plain tribal design for a while, but I just couldn't figure out what to do with it for the longest time. Then my muse apparently went into overdrive mode for it all of a sudden and I finished it off in just two days. The results can be seen here: http://www.sheezyart.com/view/855048/ .

Armadillo Con

My box of art went out to Armadillo Con on Tuesday. In addition to the six currently available prints (most of them in special hand embellished mats), I sent them 6 original ACEO (2.5"x3.5") size pieces.  These are a cheap way to get some original art that's small enough to display virtually anywhere. I also sent them a proof of Phoenix for their charity auction. So, if you live in the Austin, TX area, it's a good chance to possibly get some prints cheaper than what I sell them on the site or get your hands on that more rare Phoenix proof for the price of a regular print. Proofs are normally more expensive, but the minimum bid on it is the same as a normal matted print for the charity auction only. If you're in Austin August 13th through 15th, please stop by and take a peek at the inaugural print run in the art show.
You can get more information here: http://www.armadillocon.org/ .

Round Two!

The selections for the next round of prints has finally been made! The line-up is: Dark Angel, Fairy Cat, Joyful Puck,  Gryphon (black),  SPLAT! and Young Hunter. The files were sent off to the printer today. With any luck, I should have a round of proofs in shortly after the first of the month. If I'm really lucky they'll be good enough to go ahead and base the editions on. If I'm really UNlucky, it's going to drag on through several revisions.

If there's an image of mine that you really want a print of that hasn't been done yet. please do send me an email letting me know which one you want and i will add it to the next round of prints.

Con on the Cob!

I have added Con on the Cob in Kent, OH to the schedule of conventions for the year. I've heard it's a great little con with a more horror oriented bent, but encompassing all forms of fantasy, sci-fi and related genres. If you're in that area, you can get more information here: http://www.andyhopp.com/con_on_the_cob.htm . I hope to have the new print in my hands in time to premier them at this convention if not before at ConJecture.

That's it for now. Enjoy what's left of your summer!
